Sarah Adams – About me

Singing in front of people used to be my biggest fear so I fully understand how daunting it can be joining a singing group or going along to a workshop but rest assured, my ethos is all about creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere so that everyone can enjoy singing together. It’s so good for the soul and I absolutely love what I do.

I am part of acoustic band Canter Semper in which I sing and play piano. We gig regularly around Manchester playing original harmony driven tunes with a vintage gospel vibe. Our most recent headline gigs include Band on the wall, The Deaf Institute and Manchester Academy. I also have a solo project with my loop pedal called And Loops.

Choirs Manchester are all about community, we love nothing more than performing together a local events. Manchester highlights include Great Run Manchester 10k, being part of Manchester International Festival’s ‘remote residencies’ during Lockdown, part of Manchester City Council’s event ‘March for women’ at Castlefield Bowl and also performing for our favourite charity Emmeline’s Pantry in Chorlton.

I am extremely passionate about music and singing and hope that one of my groups can help you to try something new, maybe revisit an old skill or – most importantly – have a great time singing as a group!
